Inspired by the vibrant heritage of the area that includes a combination of residences, industry and commercial activity. There is a predominance of terracotta brick and expressive metalwork finishes from differing architecture of the 20th century, and glass contemporary buildings capturing a neighbourhood that has been in constant change.

Due to the lack of urban green space within the surrounding area, an appropriate architectural response would be to better meet the needs of the emerging workforce by establishing a powerful connection between people and nature.

A purpose-led design meeting the needs of a new generation of workers resolves into an exemplar project that sets a new standard for this precinct. An architectural language anchored in biophilic principles also guides interior solutions, with an emphasis on soft light, natural materials and manifest greenery.
